Front desk

Front desk check-in software for racquet clubs

Check players in at the desk or by QR, take payment, run the register and keep working if the internet drops.

CourtPlay front desk and check-in is included on every CourtPlay plan, from $149 per location per month, billed annually.

Sound familiar?

  • A queue at the counter

Players line up to check in while the person at the desk is also answering the phone.

  • Paper waivers in a binder

Finding the signed form for one player means digging through a stack.

  • A register that will not balance

Closing the day means counting cash and card slips against what the system says.

  • Walk-ins nobody recorded

A player who pays at the desk never makes it into the booking record.

Check in, check out and take payment

Staff check players in and check them out at the desk, selling drop-ins, shop items and rentals. Players can also check themselves in by QR.

  • Front-desk checkout and check-in, with QR self check-in
  • Payment links for walk-ins
  • Pro shop and rentals
The console checkout: unpaid bookings and the shop to sell from, who is paying, the cart and the total.

Cash and the registerPro and up

Run shifts and close the day

Cash and register shifts are built in, and the front desk keeps working offline when the connection drops.

Waivers and forms before they play

Players sign waivers, with a guardian's signature where needed, and answer sign-up and health questions before the first visit.

  • Waivers, with guardian signatures
  • Sign-up questions and health forms
  • Child pick-up list and incident reports

How front desk and check-in works

  1. Player arrives

They check in by QR, or staff find them in the check-in list.

  2. Waiver is on file

A signed waiver is on the account, or the player signs it before playing.

  3. Staff take payment

Sell a drop-in, a shop item or a rental at checkout, or send a payment link.

  4. Close the register

End the shift and reconcile cash.

Front desk and check-in questions

Can players check themselves in?

Yes. QR self check-in is on every plan, and a self-service kiosk at the entrance is available on Pro and Elite for check-in, waivers and sign-up.

What if the internet goes down at the front desk?

The front desk keeps working offline, so check-in and checkout carry on at the desk when the connection drops, and your staff are never stuck with a line of players waiting.

Does CourtPlay handle cash and register shifts?

Yes. Cash and register shifts are built in, so each shift opens and closes with its own totals, alongside card, wallet and bank payments.

Can I sell shop items and rent equipment at the desk?

Yes. The pro shop and rentals are on every plan. Pro adds an online shop with add-ons at checkout, food and drink tabs on a booking, and rental inventory.

How do waivers work for children?

Waivers support guardian signatures, and you can also collect sign-up questions, health forms, a child pick-up list and incident reports.
