DUPR integration
DUPR for pickleball clubs, built into CourtPlay
Players link their own DUPR account, their rating shows in CourtPlay, and the scores of DUPR-rated games go to DUPR once both teams confirm.
CourtPlay DUPR integration is included on every CourtPlay plan, from $149 per location per month, billed annually.
Link
Each player links their own account
A player signs in on DUPR's own page and agrees to share their account, then lands back in CourtPlay. CourtPlay never sees the DUPR password and keeps only DUPR's access tokens, stored encrypted. Staff cannot enter a DUPR id for a player, and can send a reminder to link.
- Sign-in happens on DUPR's page
- Access tokens stored encrypted
- A player can disconnect at any time
Ratings
The DUPR rating on the player's profile
A linked player's doubles and singles ratings show in CourtPlay, with their rating history loaded from DUPR. The rating updates when DUPR sends a change, and a daily check backs it up. A player can refresh once an hour, and can hide their DUPR rating from other players.
- Doubles and singles ratings
- Rating history loaded when the account links
- Hide my DUPR rating
Send scores
Confirmed scores go to DUPR
A game set up as DUPR Rated sends its matches to DUPR once both teams have confirmed the score. An organizer sends a round or a game, and in a tournament DUPR is switched on per division and matches send on their own. Scoring is set to Standard or Rally so DUPR records each match the way it was played.
- Both teams confirm before a match is sent
- Standard or Rally scoring
- Failed sends retry, and an organizer can send again
Corrections
A corrected score is corrected at DUPR
Players cannot change a score once DUPR holds it, but an organizer can. A corrected match is sent to DUPR again, and a match that is reset or deleted is deleted at DUPR too.
- Corrected scores update the match at DUPR
- Deleted matches are deleted at DUPR
Games
Games that need DUPR
An organizer can require a linked DUPR account to join a game, or require DUPR+ so only active subscribers can sign up. A host can also seed a draw by DUPR.
- Require a linked DUPR account
- Require DUPR+
- Seed by DUPR
Limits
What does not go to DUPR
A match is sent only when the game is DUPR Rated, the score is validated and confirmed by both teams, and every player has a linked DUPR account.
- Casual games are never sent
- Matches with a guest or an unlinked player are skipped; the rest of the round is sent
- Forfeits, retirements and disputed results are not sent
- Linking does not send past games
How DUPR works
The player connects
From their profile, the player taps Connect DUPR and signs in on DUPR's page.
The organizer sets the game
The game or tournament division is set to DUPR Rated, with score validation on.
Both teams confirm
When both teams confirm a score, the match is ready to send.
CourtPlay sends it
The match goes to DUPR, which works out the new ratings. CourtPlay shows Submitted to DUPR.
DUPR questions
Does CourtPlay see my DUPR password?
No. You sign in on DUPR's own page. CourtPlay keeps DUPR's access tokens, stored encrypted, and not the password.
Which matches are sent to DUPR?
Matches in a DUPR Rated game, with score validation on, confirmed by both teams, where every player has a linked DUPR account. Casual games, forfeits, retirements and disputed results are not sent.
Can a player stop sharing their DUPR account?
Yes. A player can disconnect DUPR in the app. CourtPlay stops sending their matches and removes their DUPR rating from their CourtPlay profile. Their rating and history stay on DUPR.
What if a score was wrong after it was sent?
An organizer corrects it and CourtPlay sends DUPR the update. If the match is reset or deleted, it is deleted at DUPR too.
Does CourtPlay replace the DUPR rating?
No. CourtPlay has its own rating, which is separate. DUPR works out DUPR ratings itself.
