Stripe integration

Stripe payments for your club, paid out to your own account

Connect your club's own Stripe account. Players pay by card, wallet or bank, the money goes to your account, and Stripe pays it out to your bank.

CourtPlay Stripe integration is included on every CourtPlay plan, from $149 per location per month, billed annually.

Connect

Open or connect your Stripe account from the console

An owner connects the club's Stripe account from the Payments screen. You finish on Stripe's own page, where Stripe asks for the business details, a bank account for payouts and an owner's ID, then you come back to CourtPlay.

  • Only an owner can connect the account
  • Your own Stripe account
  • Set up on Stripe's hosted page

Take payment

Players pay the way they already do

Payments run through Stripe: Apple Pay, Google Pay, saved cards and bank debit. The money goes to your Stripe account and Stripe pays it out to your bank.

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Saved cards
  • Bank debit

Status

See your account's state in CourtPlay

The Payments screen shows whether charges and payouts are on or paused, what Stripe still needs from you and by when, and a link to fix it in Stripe. Your balance and payouts are read in Stripe, which holds them.

  • Charges and payouts on or paused
  • Open requirements and their due date
  • A negative balance flagged

If Stripe pauses charges

Players see it, and the desk keeps working

If Stripe pauses charges on the account, online payment is unavailable and players see that at checkout. Staff can still take cash at the desk. Until a Stripe account is connected, CourtPlay takes no paid bookings and staff can still book courts at no charge.

  • Online payment paused at checkout
  • Cash at the desk still works

Limits

What stays with Stripe

Stripe is the processor and holds the money. CourtPlay does not hold your balance or make your payouts.

  • Balance and payouts are read in Stripe
  • Stripe's own processing fees are Stripe's, listed in your Stripe account
  • Stripe decides when an account needs more information

How Stripe works

  1. An owner opens Payments

In the console, the owner opens the Payments screen and chooses Open a Stripe account.

  2. Finish on Stripe

Stripe collects the business details, a bank account and the owner's ID on its own page.

  3. Come back to CourtPlay

CourtPlay reads the account's state from Stripe and shows charges and payouts as on.

  4. Players can pay

Paid bookings, memberships and events take payment, and Stripe pays out to your bank.
